Valentine's Day

Joshua got his first Valentine and promptly put it in his mouth! My mom always made Valentine's fun at my house. We woke up to a table similar to this picture. She always had decorations and a box of chocolates next to our plate with a card. She even got up early and made us pink, heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast. Mike said he had never had pink pancakes before- I guess there's a first for everything!

My Valentine's Present came the next day. Mike arranged for a babysitter and we went to dinner and a movie in the same night! It was awesome. The following Monday he took me clothes shopping- not one of his favorite things- so it was a sweet sacrifice and we had a great time. Our friends Hank and Danica watched Joshua Saturday night and Monday afternoon! They are awesome! We're so glad they moved here!

Toe Sucker!

Joshua has found my big toe a few times crawling around on the floor and of course had to taste it when I wasn't looking! He will be horrified at this thought when he's older!

The New and Improved Oscar

So Oscar got a new haircut to fix the old one- he looks much better! The whole experience was a little traumatic for him and unfortunately he finds comfort in our bed. I can't count the number of times I have to readjust the pillows during the day (I'm a little anal about the bed anyway!)

He Ran Under the Lawnmower.... or something?

Mike decided to try and save us some money and groom Oscar himself. Needless to say I have been asked to take him to Petsmart tomorrow and tell them that he ran under the lawnmower. Poor dog.

Monkeying Around

Our little monkey is not satisfied with crawling! He now uses his crawling skills to find the next best thing to stand up on! Today we caught him standing on his own for about 3 seconds! My only complaint is that he also likes to practice at naptime! I used to be able to put him down and walk away and within a few minutes he would go to sleep. Now, I spend most of his naptime laying him back down. Everytime I come into the room and find him standing he gets a huge smile on his face and lets out a giggle hmmmmmmmm... maybe this is becoming a game to him?!
