Mike and I really NEEDED a date last week- and since we hadn't planned ahead and gotten a babysitter Mike had the idea to grill out and eat a candlelight dinner on the patio! He set everything up including our battery powered radio playing Oldies while we ate some delicious grilled chicken, homemade mashed potatoes , and topped it off with S'mores and a game of SCRABBLE! What a fun night! (As you can see I totally dressed for the occasion)

Chrissy, you are a babe. AND a life savor. I'm feeling a ton better. I'm thinking it was just a rough night. Maybe...my body is like...O you think that was bad?? Just you wait! It's only gonna get worse!
I LOVE scrabble. Ryan and I keep wanting to get a board. Some nights when we don't want to be bums and watch movies, we play speed with Rook cards! hahaha We are pretty evenly matched so it's fun.
I just noticed... is that a baby monitor on the table?
such is life!
ps: we had to give away lucy because she was not good with children (growling, snapping, etc.)
i hope you were able to find a good home for oscar!
we took lucy back to the humane society.
How cool and super sweet!
Great idea- what a thoughtful hubby. And even better to not have to get dressed! (i received quite the "compliment" *cough* wearing a similar outfit picking James up from school today...)
Motherhood is grand:)!
Sounds delicious! By the way, your boys are hilarious!
What a fun night! Home dates can be so much fun. You don't have "buyers remorse" when you get home and have to dish out even more money to pay the babysitter :)
What a sweet hubby you have!
